Senior Brand Manager

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the role holder is expected to have the breadth and depth to develop and implement strategies for a number of business segments. At this level they must also be able to oversee a wide array of roles including branding, communication, product development, online and offline promotions and commission market research. They would achieve this by leading the development and execution of all the brand plans and marketing initiatives within business and support units.

The role holder is also responsible for tracking and monitoring the overall brand health and brand equity, as well as the implementation of Brand Health Measurement programs in order to establish market perceptions/insights and level of affinity for the brand. The role holder is also responsible for aligning the organizational corporate strategy with the brand strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing annual brand plans for differentiated complex and diverse product lines, as well as executing tactical initiatives for the products’ marketing in a seamless manner
  • Working closely with the unit heads, product development teams and sales teams to achieve the business objectives whilst participating in projects driven by the respective business units 
  • Develop and leverage on strategic partnerships to catalyze product branding, visibility and uptake across the target markets
  • Stakeholder management: ensure quality relationship management with all stakeholders i.e; business partners and branding service providers for own area 
  • Work collaboratively with the MCC teams to bring the approved marketing programs to life i.e. events, digital marketing, communications, PR support, etc.
  • Responsible for budget planning, control and expense tracking of all projects to ensure they are delivered within budget, and within policy, to meet the objectives across their Business Units.
  • Uphold the brand guidelines across the Group and all business units as well as all Bank’s touch points, communicating across the business as a champion of the company’s brand guidelines to secure brand identity and maintain brand integrity
  • Reviewing and enhancing all communication materials and collateral within the business to ensure adherence and consistency to the overall Brand Positioning, Values and Identity Standards.
  • Convening regular progress review meetings with advertising, media, PR and experiential agencies, to ensure tracking of all ongoing projects, and manage work progress on an ongoing basis.
  • Regular performance tracking of marketing campaigns and activations against set KPIs e.g, sales numbers and value, monthly share of Voice (SOV) and compilation of reports on each activity that is circulated to the respective stakeholders
  • Working with analytics to identify key consumer insights to strengthen the development and execution of brand campaigns while ensuring delivery against the overall bank strategy; Utilize research reports such as Brand Tracker, Usage and Attitude surveys and product specific surveys to inform and develop marketing plans.

The Person

For the above position, the successful applicant should have the following:

  • A bachelor’s degree in from a recognized University
  • 5 years’ experience in Marketing Campaigns and Brand Management. Communications & Presentation Skill
  • 3 years’ experience in budget management, planning and organizing
  • 4 years Communication & Presentation Skills.
  • 2 years’ experience in Leading & Managing teams.
