Rally

KCB Bank Kenya, a synonymous name in the local motorsports  scene has played a pivotal role in elevating the motorsports landscape in the country to unimaginable heights while giving a platform to local drivers to participate in regional, and international competitions. When the Safari Rally was excluded from the WRC calendar in 2002, KCB stepped in to fill in the void by sponsoring the Kenya National Rally Championship (KNRC), Autocross and other local circuits spending a huge investment of KShs 1.7 billion in two decades. Since the return of the legendary event to the Kenyan soil in 2021, KCB has reaffirmed its commitment to the sport by injecting over KShs. 400 million while extending support to local rally drivers – Nikhil Sachania, Evans Kavisi and Karan Patel to participate in the global spectacle. In the 2024 edition, KCB pumped KShs. 194.5 million into the Safari Rally. Also, supported two drivers – African Rally Champion Karan Patel and Nikhil Sachania who raised the Kenyan flag high at the iconic event that saw thousands throng Naivasha for a once in a lifetime experience. Over and beyond the thrills of the cars, at the heart of the Safari Rally was proper waste management where KShs. 1 million was dedicated to this course. Additionally, we planted 2000 trees in various schools in line with the sustainable development goals as part of our larger corporate citizenship agenda to reduce the environmental impact of the sport.
