I’m stoked for the next month. Not that I have anything special planned out, just. Can’t believe the year is almost halfway done. Nimekuwa nikireflect on a lot and I’m super grateful that we have gotten this far pamoja. Me hushinda nimewashow vile nawapenda mnadhani ni jokes.
So let’s circle back… It’s Labor Day weekend and you know your boy has got to show lots of love to you all for putting in the work despite all that’s going on right now… However big or small you might feel your contribution is, lemme commend you for keeping at it and not giving up 🙌 yes!
A vibe I’ve been trying to be on is making my chums work for me. Siwezi kuwa nafanya hii kazi yote and not ripping the benefits. Bills come, rent ndiyo hiyo, other responsibilities, yadi yada… It’s sometimes hard to use or invest your cash into something purposeful when you haven’t jipangad properly. And that’s the one thing I’ve been trying to avoid for a while now. Mimi pia nataka ‘soft life’ and I wanna see the fruits of my labor. Don’t we all?
Wacha I challenge you guys to this… So that when the end of the year comes around you at least have a ka littu something to treat the summer bunnies who’ll be around (hopefully the sitch will be better). Or even so that that grand plan of yours can come to fruition…
Discipline yourself each month and sacrifice just a little more cash than you’ve been putting aside into your Simba Savings Account. It might be that extra cash you use for takeout once a weekend, coz we all deserve a treat once in a while. Kwanza me, I’m guilty of this… I never see my kitchen on weekends… Or that splurge on some retail therapy coz drip is life. Whatever your poison is, we are sure you can do without it a couple of times. Remember, eyes on the prize.
The best part about saving using this account is you can determine the actual amount you’ll have saved at the end of that period hapa. No surprises (rather, only good surprises).
