KCB BANK SCOOPS VARIOUS AWARDS IN THE INSTITUTE OF INTERNAL AUDITORS’ GALA AT EMARA OLE SERENI

The KCB Audit Division emerged as a resounding victor at the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Kenya's inaugural Internal Audit and Risk Awards ceremony held last Friday, April 12th, at the Emara Ole Sereni. The event, graced by distinguished guests like Auditor General Nancy Gathungu and Acting Internal Auditor General Jane Micheni, marked a historic night for both the IIA Kenya and KCB's internal audit function. KCB's impressive haul of six awards – the most of any participant – is a testament to their commitment to excellence.

• Top Recognition in Banking: KCB's audit team received the prestigious "Best Audit Team in Banking" award.
• Audit Team in NSE Listed Companies Award – 1st Runner-up.
• Overall Internal Audit Function of the Year Award – 2nd Runner-up.

• Charles Langat, Group Internal Auditor: Charles impressed the judges and achieved the 1st Runner-up spot for "Chief Audit Executive of the Year" among a competitive pool of 25 finalists.
• Double Win for Francis Muriithi, Group Head Information Systems Audit: Francis's dedication to innovation and professional development garnered him two awards: "CIA Challenge Student of the Year Award – 1^st Runner-up" and "Innovative Auditor of the Year Award – 1^st  Runner-up."
• Arthur Maina, Group Head Credit, Treasury and Legal Audit: Arthur's focus on continuous learning was acknowledged with the "Quality Assessor Student of the Year Award – 2^nd Runner-up."
