KCB FC moved third on the log after a comfortable 2-1 win against Posta Rangers at the Utalii Grounds.
The bankers went back to winning ways after a winless run in two games.
Both Derrick Otanga and Henry Onyango scored in the first half to earn KCB maximum points in a thrilling match.
Onyango who put a man of the match performance reckons they are on course to clinch the title at the end of the season.
“We are working very hard in training and giving everything in all the matches. Every match for us is like a final. We finished runners-up last season and it is our hope that this season we finish first.” He said.
Currently, the bankers are only 4 points adrift the summit.
KCB resumes to action on February 5th where they will face AFC Leopards.
