Bankers Too Strong For Harlequins

Despite an early lead, the hosts suffered a 45-10 loss in the hands of KCB in a heated affair at the RFUEA Grounds.

The match started on a high note with Quins taking the upper-hand scoring just after 3 mins of play to take a 10-0 lead.

The bankers put on a show despite the home fans booing from the stands. Martin Owilla scored and the trusted Darwin Mukidza converted to earn them 7points. Minutes later, KCB would score another try to establish a comfortable 14-10 lead before the break.

The bankers meant business in the second half. It took no. 29 a minute to wiggle around the Quins defense and score a superb try. Seconds later the bankers outclassed the home side with another excellent play to extend their lead to 26-10.

"It was not an easy match as Quins are a strong side. We gave them an easy lead in the first minutes of the game but our character and composure overtook the adversity, " said Denis "Iron man" Onyango (Assistant Coach) after the match.

On his side, Skipper Darwin Mukidza was proud of the team for their resilience despite the intimidation from the home fans and is confident they will maintain the winning streak against Oilers next weekend.
