The 8th round of the KCB National Autocross championship is set to return this weekend in Gilgil town near Pembroke School. The event which is expected to run minus spectators due to Covid-19 safety measures will attract top drivers including Lovejyot Singh Kahlon, Rehan Shah, Maxine Wahome, Wayne Fernandez, Brandon Ng’ang’a, Sahib Omar, Hamza Anwar, Erick Bengi among others.
Rookie Driver Ankush Manoj will be looking for glory and says he has a feeling of anticipation going into the eith leg of the championship. The karting racer who turned autocross driver joined buggy racing this year in an Ex Tejas Hirani two-seater rage machine which he now hopes to steer to respectable podium positions in the two-wheel-drive non turbo buggy class.
Wayne Fernandez who has been battling out with Sahib Omar in the Quad bikes category will be looking to make his first win of the season in the class with Omar outwitting him throughout the season. Rift Valley Motorsport Club (RVMC) will run the event
