Globally, football is loved because of the high-octane energy and raw emotions it brings to the game. From fervent fans to players to opponents and even sponsors, no other game draws as much passion.
Then we have the managers and doubters. The relationships between each component are compelling. The effects of these relationships are central to the emotions that football evokes.
This week, after a tumble on the pitch, KCB FC Manager Zedekiah ‘Ziko’ Otieno experienced hormonal surges and deep emotions that left supporters and opponents in sheer awe.
In the immediate aftermath of KCB FC’s unfortunate loss to Posta Rangers in the Kenyan Premier League, he had some strong sentiments to the doubters.
“It is unfortunate that we didn’t win today’s game, however, it’s for other people to judge if we’re making progress. We keep on working and we have a clear picture of where this squad is going,” Ziko said.
Ziko sees the squad getting stronger each and every day and always improving. Ziko says they are taking each game at a time and with the consistent transfer policy and development of players in the squad the club is destined for greater things in the future.
KCB FC can move within touching distance of the top spot of the league with victory against Western Stima on Friday 6th August 2021 at the Moi Stadium, Kisumu.
