KCB Boosts Shamberere National Polytechnic Rugby Teams with Generous Donation

In a display of their commitment to community development, KCB Group has stepped up to the plate, generously donating essential rugby equipment to both the men's and women's teams at Shamberere National Polytechnic. This significant contribution, comprising of rugby balls, kits, bibs, and training cones, promises to elevate the teams' training regimes and enhance their on-field performance.

"We're thrilled to support the growth of rugby talent at Shamberere National Polytechnic," remarked Vincent Onyala, KCB Rugby player and Olympian, who, alongside with KCB Talent & Identification Coach Fred Nyachio, conducted a special training clinic for the teams. "This initiative isn't just about providing equipment; it's about nurturing the next generation of rugby stars and fostering a culture of excellence."

Patrick Chinyingi, Deputy Principal of Shamberere National Polytechnic, echoed Onyala's sentiments, expressing heartfelt gratitude for KCB's generous donation. "This support is invaluable to our teams and the wider community," he noted. "With the recent success of our women's team in the 2024 Kenya Cup finishing third, this donation will undoubtedly inspire our players to strive for even greater heights."

Enock Ogamba, KCB Sales Manager of the Lower Western Region, highlighted KCB's unwavering dedication to community engagement, citing their ongoing sponsorship of students in the insitution through the 2jiajiri initiative. "At KCB, we believe in investing in the future," he emphasized. "Supporting initiatives like this not only strengthens our community ties but also empowers individuals to reach their full potential."

As the training session concluded, Vincent Onyala left the players with a powerful message, urging them to remain focused on their goals and disciplined in their approach.
