KCB Chess Team Players Elizabeth Cassidy and Shukri Shakira dominated the Kenya National School Championship that was held at the Mangu High School this past weekend.
The talented duo showcased their mastery on the board in a fiercely contested tournament that drew over 7,000 participants from across the country. Their composure, strategic brilliance, and unwavering focus earned them top spots, further cementing their status as rising stars in the chess scene.
KCB Chess Team Coach, Benjamin Magana praised their efforts, saying: "Elizabeth and Shukri displayed exceptional skill and discipline throughout the tournament. Their success reflects the hard work and preparation they have put in. We’re proud of their achievements and excited about what lies ahead for them."
KCB Chess Team will be back in action this month as the Kenya Chess Premier League action resumes.
