KCB FC extended its impressive run in the pre-season matches beating Gor Mahia 2-1 in a friendly match at Ruaraka Grounds. As a result, the bankers remain unbeaten in all of their pre-season friendlies after registering a hundred percent record wins.
New signing Edmond Adem opened the account for the bankers through a penalty after Stephen Mwangi was fouled in the six-yard box just before the half-time break. Gor would respond moments later with George Odhiambo teeing up Benson Ochieng for an easy tap-in. The two sides created numerous chances but James Mazembe’s volley separated them after the final whistle.
Commenting on the game, match winner James Mazembe said: “This is a really proud moment for me as a player. Scoring against Gor Mahia is not easy given that I have just come from an awful injury. We are working so hard and hopefully when the new season begins, we will maintain a good form.”
