KCB ladies volleyball team has completed the signing of four key players ahead of a busy 2020. The new signings are: Edith Wisa from Kenya Prisons, Sharon Chepchumba from Pipeline and the Kwathanze Secondary school duo of libero Sandui Chepkemoi and setter Emmaculate Nekesa Masoki.
The team will be aiming for a top three finish at the 2020 Africa Women Club Championship slated to be held in March in Egypt and wrestling the local crown from Kenya Prisons in the Kenya Volleyball Federation league. Meanwhile, KCB tacticians Paul Bitok and Japheth Munala will lead the Malkia Strikers squad to Cameroon for the 2020 Tokyo qualifiers.
KCB 's Captain Noel Murambi will skipper the team alongside Brackcides Agala. Other KCB players in the squad are Leonida Kasaya, Violet Makuto, Jemima Siangu and libero Lincy Jeruto. Kenya and Cameroon have become the newest rivals in continental volleyball, with the East Africans beating the Cameroonians four out of the five times they have met since June 2019.
