KCB Women's Volleyball club is looking to beef up the squad with young talent ahead of the new Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) league season.
According to coach Japheth Munala, the hope is to add in their ranks a libero, middle blocker, and defensive specialist. Munala said the aim is to sign talented players to complement the experienced players and ensure continuity.
"We want to enhance competition in the team ahead of a defining season which starts next month," said Munala. “Our rivals are working around the clock to bolster their squads and the coming season could be more interesting because I know teams will be planning on how to stop our evolving talented squad."
The Bankers, who came second in the KVF national league title in August, return to pre-season this week after a month's break. KCB boasts one of the most accomplished squads in the league. Five players from the team featured for Malkia Strikers in the African Club Championship tournament and the 2020 Olympic Games.
