KCB to Face Nigeria Customs in Club Championship Round of 16

Former Champions KCB will square it out with Nigeria Customs in the round of 16 of the ongoing African Club Championship on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Nigeria.

The ladies kicked off the continental trophy hunt with a 3-0 win over La Loi (DRC) and Sococim (Senegal). The ladies faced a setback against Egypt volleyball giants Al Ahly (Egypt), losing 3-2 in a five-set thriller on Sunday evening. The Lionesses finished second in the group stages, making the cut to the knockouts where they will face Nigeria Customs on Tuesday, April 8th.

“We had a fair start in the group matches, but now the tough job starts in the knockouts. We are aware that we are up against some of the strongest teams on the continent, and we have to go all out to win every game there is. I am confident with the squad, and we are ready for the next face.” Head Coach Japheth Munala stated.

KCB finished their pool second with 6 points, only Al Ahly was ahead of them. The Egyptian heavyweights finished the pool fixtures with 9 points having beaten each side.
