KCB Women’s Volleyball Team and Malkia Strikers skipper Mercy Moim was named the best receiver in the just concluded African Nations women's Volleyball Championships.
Her teammate Sharon Chepchumba, was Feted best attacker in the tournament after scoring a game-high 21 points with four aces in the finals against Cameroon. However, their contribution wasn’t enough for Paul Bitok’s girls.
Malkia Strikers were runners-up in the tournament after falling to Cameroon in the final match played at the Kigali Arena in Rwanda.
The team has booked their ticket to next year’s World Championships to be co-hosted by Netherlands and Poland.
