Team KCB made clear its intentions in the ongoing Kenya Institute of Bankers (KIB) Inter-Banks Sports Competition when the tag of war team overpowered the CBK side in a tantalizing match that took place at the Kenya School of Monetary Studies over the weekend.
KCB has 19 teams participating in the tourney which has attracted over 5,000 participants who are competing in various sports disciplines including golf, football, volleyball, drought, darts, netball, handball, and basketball among others
Speaking during the opening ceremony at the same venue, KCB Group Human Resources Director Japheth Acholla noted that the Bank is excited to once again feature in the games that had gone into a lull for the last two years. “Our win today should send a message to our competitors that we have not come here as spectators but rather to win medals. We look forward to an exciting outing that we believe will once again put us on the map as great competitors.”
