Proper Safety COVID19 Precautions We Need To Take Seriously

These past few days have had a lot of LOL moments aki. I know social distancing inatupeleka mbio but surely sisi Wakenya nini huwa inatusumbua? The things I have seen and the stories I have been reading online…

Let me not even go far. Let’s give it up to the OG’s of breaking the social distancing rules; wale walipanda ambulance with the hopes of being taken to sijui which house party.  I have so many questions. Kwanza, why are you having a house party now OF ALL TIMES??? Ilikuwa a must? Also, what part of ‘emergency’ don’t ya’ll understand? Coz last I checked ambulances are used for emergencies. Aki ni kama watu hawajipendi. As much as it’s hilarious it is also not the smartest thing as far as people complying to the curfew rules that have been put in place. Nitawapee innovation 10 out of 10 but… Heh.

Alafu nimeona squad kadhaa pale Ngong Hills, ni kama it was a parking lot, over the long weekend. My friends, social distancing doesn’t mean we all go to the park and park our cars 1.5 meters apart then come together and chill. No, that’s not the meaning guyssss! Inamaanisha make nyumbani and refrain from seeing each other. Now is not the time to go over to your boy’s place kubangaiz na kuchapa story. Si niliwashow how Wozzap Calls is the best way to communicate with your people. Mimi na kina Sospeter and Wafula are also struggling just like you believe me. We are trying as much as possible to stay put and we also literally have made a list of all the thing we will do once all this is over and we return to some normalcy.

Then comes the mask situation. Sidebar, it’s really interesting all the different designs of masks we have out there. Ya’ll are really not slacking on business opportunities, designing these masks; shallap to all the innovative youth making these at home. Anyweiii I have digressed. What I was driving at was proper use of your mask. You have purchased one, great. You are wearing it around your neck or not covering your nose and mouth (as intended), not so great. It beats the purpose of wearing it at all, given that the rona (nimeone watu Instagram wanaiita hivi nowadays) is also transmitted airborne. Please let’s wear our masks properly, covering BOTH our nose and mouth. Also dispose of it immediately and if you have a reusable one, wash it thoroughly. Are we together?

Issa struggle. For all of us. Cabin fever imekick in for sure, some of us are taiyaddd of seeing the same faces all day erryday, frustrated at not being able to socialize and live your everyday life. Heh and another shallap to the parents who have to home school their children; from the stories I have heard from some of my friends ya’ll need extra prayers J. Teachers really do deserve more credit than they get for real.

As we get into the weekend let’s not forget to be grateful. We might be in the worst situation at this moment lakini take a look at your blessings and reflect. Kwa nyumba yako, pekee yako LOL, not at a gathering with your mbogi.

Tusiwekelee stress on our police who are just doing their job by making sure Kenyans are home by 7pm, or the nurses and doctors who are treating the coronavirus cases which are increasing by the day. All these people fighting this disease are getting overwhelmed slowly and all you’re being asked to do is #stayhome so let’s do better my people.
